An Adventure in Mini Golf Building

I’m paraphrasing but the quote above, ‘the Zen landscapers of mini golf’ is lifted from a player who wrote a review on one of our design and build courses, in which he stated. “Its like a Zen master in landscaping has constructed this course”. I knew our designs were different from the standard, but I never knew how to sell it. However from that review, I could see what we are. We have always wanted to produce the most epic and engaging courses, that are truly unique. For each and every new course, we always aim to improve. Check out our most recent course at Gunnersbury park . That’s not to say we ignore smaller projects. Far from it. We have created two courses at garden centres that are on the low budget side, with an upgrade just carried out (2023) at Aces Gloucester. Our vision is to provide entertaining and epic outdoor environments, at a reasonable cost.

Its a far cry from when we started as builders, back in 2001.

Having worked in sports turf maintenance for around 10 years, I took on a job working at a local golf course as first assistant. I was given control of the pitch and putt course and made it my aim to better the condition of the main course, which I did. This didn’t go down to well with the head and so I was relieved of this responsibility! This was the moment that I decided to branch out on my own. It was either take an opening to become a head greenkeeper or plough my own furrow. You see I always had a great interest mini golf. I enjoyed it. It seems to have limitless possibilities and so that’s where I wanted to put my energy. During our travels ,we have learnt to become Specialists in the design and build of all kinds of miniature golf courses here in the UK. When I say crazy or mini it broadly covers all styles up to a certain size… Adventure themed or links golf is at the larger end of the scale.

Are stylistically like miniature versions of a golf course, with natural obstacles, simulated sand traps and water features. Occasionally we integrate some form of light theming, that blends with the environment. We use quality synthetic grasses, which are tried and tested from top EU manufactures. We always look for contrast in the surfacing to differentiate the putting and rough surfaces - Being independent, gives us the opportunity to provide the customer with the best possible surface for their site (we will advise if natural grass or rubber is a better solution). We specialise, of course, in mini golf and are up to date with all the latest techniques. We use various materials including all weather decking, rubber bark, wet pour rubber, faux rock works, natural rock works… to name but a few. We have been on a learning curve, with the design and build of mini golf courses for the last twenty years, having been involved in around fourteen different courses. We are in a position to provide a total build solution. From kiosk, to build, to set-up. We have the ability to see through your vision from start to finish. As they say, No job is too big or too small. We can also carry out construction of City target greens artificial golf greens, Natural golf greens,training facilities and other golf surfaces, for home or leisure facility.
